Another subway performer

...This time in the middle of the afternoon. This F train car was pretty full, but no one seemed to mind the drummers.

The Golden Local

The Golden Local is a set of "debates" at NBCnewyork.com in which New Yorkers vote on what is the best hot dog, pizza slice, etc. Today's debate: New York's best steakhouse. BLT was awarded the coveted Golden Local. And I was sent to go shoot it:

F Train and Central Park

I really need to carry my camera around more because I'm getting so much "shot regret," as my dear friend Edythe would call it. Here are a few snaps from when I wasn't too lazy and actually carried it with me:

This guy was having a major jam session on the F train. That dude in the far back in the black jacket was not too happy about it, but everyone else on the train was clapping along and cheering him on. Oh yeah, this was at 12:30 a.m. on a Thursday morning.

These two kind of mirror each other in technique - both are from Central Park.

wandering...

On Saturday, Leah, Daniel and I wandered all around the Lower East Side, SoHo and the farmer's market at Union Square. Despite the fact that I start work at 2 p.m. and have all morning to do things like this, I still find myself being SUPER LAZY. So this is the first time I really explored Manhattan at all.
